CONFIRMED SPEAKER - Reason Xie / 謝柏偉
Having been working in the electronic dance music scene for 15 years, Reason is a true veteran of the nightlife entertainment industry. Began as a DJ, he gained his first residency at Taipei’s largest nightclub at the age of 19, a truly remarkable age to be recognized as a capable DJ who knows his trade. His skills as a DJ not only landed him a residency at Taipei’s most legendary club “2nd Floor” at 21, but also allowed him to tour Taiwan and even around the world to gain an insightful look at a multitude of nightclubs worldwide.
Not satisfied with the lagging behind of the nightlife scene in Taiwan, Reason later on joined forces with the owner of 2nd Floor, Alan Hsia, and formulated theLOOP, Inc. in light of revolutionizing the industry. Before long Reason was made partner at the age of 25, and together they have gone on to create 4 industry-leading nightclubs and 36 unprecedented large scale music events, with the highest attendee record reached a staggering 17,000.
In 2012 Reason was appointed as the booking director to oversee all the bookings for theLOOP, Inc. Under his management he has booked over 120 major international talents including the likes of Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre, Bigbang, Skrillex… just to name a few. His experience as a DJ has enabled him to focus on the latest trend and make precise predictions in talent booking, making Reason easily the most influential figure in shaping the future of Taiwan’s nightlife industry.
